Remote Online Notarization (RON) allows you to complete a notarial act using secure video conferencing. Instead of meeting in person, you sign and notarize your documents online from anywhere with an internet connection.
Is online notarization legal in Maryland?
Yes. Maryland law permits remote online notarizations. The Notary Loft is fully authorized to perform them, so your documents are valid and legally binding.
Can I use The Notary Loft if I live in another state?
Yes. As long as the notary (located in Maryland) performs the notarization, clients can be located anywhere in the U.S. or even abroad. Most states recognize Maryland online notarizations.
What types of documents can be notarized online?
Common documents include affidavits, power of attorney, parental consent forms, real estate documents, and business agreements. If you’re unsure, reach out before booking.
What do I need for my appointment?
You’ll need:
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
A stable internet connection with camera + microphone
Your document uploaded in PDF format
